OcioHogar (OH): ¿Qué le hizo convertirse en diseñador de productos y de mobiliario?
Alessandro Comerlati (AC): Siempre he sido creativo y he tenido buenas ideas que he podido llevar a cabo. Me gusta involucrarme y realizar las cosas que tengo en mente. Nunca paro de pensar.
OH: ¿Qué necesita un diseño para convertirse en un éxito?
AC: Ser un producto bueno, innovador y único que no exista en el mercado, centrándose en su visión y llevándola a cabo. Y no abandonar nunca
OH: Nosotros vendemos su diseño Expandpouf para Sedit. ¿Puede contarnos más sobre su proceso de diseño?
AC: Expandpouf fue solo el comienzo y la evolución de los pufs clásicos. El puf Expandpouf está fabricado con microfibra elástica que lo hace super ergonómico y que se adapta al color que desees. Es también el único puf con cubierta protectora. En realidad, Expandpouf es un modelo sencillo sin costuras y de un único material: lycra.
OH: Su diseño Expandpouf es conocido en muchos países. En su opinión, ¿qué le ha llevado a ser un éxito?
AC: Expandpouf se ha convertido en un gran éxito debido a su diseño minimalista y a una comodidad increíble.
OH: ¿Cuál es su Fuente de inspiración? ¿Dónde las encuentra?
AC: Comencé hace 10 años a importar pufs clásicos. Mi objetivo es hacer que la gente esté cómoda y cuando se sientan en mi puf y veo la sorpresa en sus caras me siento feliz.
OH: ¿Cómo es un día laborable normal en su vida?
AC: El tiempo corre muy rápido y mi mente aún más. Nunca paro, la evolución debe continuar.
OH: En su opinión, ¿cuál va a ser el mueble estrella o best-seller de la temporada?
AC: Yo estoy en mi mundo y no sigo mucho las modas
OH: ¿Con qué empresa le gustaría trabajar?
AC: Conmigo mimo. He abierto una mega-tienda en Ibiza llamada Xpouf Factory Store Ibiza.
OH: Usted es parte de “Giro del Mondo Living and Accesory”. Puede hablarnos de esta iniciativa?
AC: Empecé con Giro del Mondo en 2001 con una tienda; ahora tiene 8. Han tenido éxito inmediato gracias a la originalidad de sus productos y el estilo de la tienda.
OH: Usted es windsurfista profesional y cuatro veces campeón de Italia. ¿Cómo influye el windsurf en sus diseños?
AC: Viajar alrededor del mundo ha abierto mi mente y ha sido la llave para todo.
OH: El diseño de productos y el windsurf no es una combinación muy frecuente, ¿cómo ha llegado a este punto?
AC: hay un hilo común entre ambos mundos

OC: ¿Cuál es su lugar favorito para vivir?
AC: Ibiza para siempre

OH: What made you decide to become a furniture and product designer?
AC: I have been always creative, and I have good ideas that I brought forward. I like to get involved and realize the things that I think, I never stop thinking
OH: What needs a design to become a success?
AC: A good innovative and unique product that does not exist on the market, focusing the lens and carry it out. And never to give up
OH: We sell your design “Expandpouf” by Sedit, can you tell us a bit more about the design process of this puff?
AC: Expandpouf was just the beginning and it was the evolution of the classic pouf. Pouf Expandpouf is made with an elastic microfiber making it super ergonomic and it fits your colour. It is also the only one with a protective cover. In reality Expandpouf is a simple pouf which does not have hinges and consists of a single material: lycra
OH: Your design Expandpouf is well known in so many countries, in your opinion, why has it become a success?
AC: Expandpouf has had a big success thanks to the minimalist design and an incredible comfort
OH: Which is your source of inspiration? Where do you find those sources?
AC: I started 10 years ago to import classic pouf. My goal is to make people feel comfortable, and when people sit on my ottoman and I see the surprise on their faces I am happy
OH: How is a normal business day for you?
AC: Time runs fast and my mind even more. I never stop, the evolution must continue
OH: In your opinion, which is going to be the star or best-seller piece of furniture this season?
AC: I am in my world I do not follow much the fashions
OH: With which company would you like to work for?
AC: With myself. I have opened a mega store in Ibiza called Xpouf Factory Store Ibiza.
OH: You are part of “Giro del Mondo Living and Accesory”. Can you explain us this initiative?
AC: I started wiht Giro del Mondo in 2001 with one store, now we have 8 stores. They have had immediate success thanks to the originality of the products and the look of the store
OH: You are professional windsurfer and four times Italian Champion. How influences windsurf in your designs?
AC: Travelling around the world has opened my mind, and that was the key to everything
OH: Product designer and windsurfer is not a very common combination, how have you reach this point?
AC: There is a common thread
